MAKERATORYPRODUCTION INTELLIGENCE FOR MAKERS · A STARR STUDIOS PRODUCT

LEGAL

Terms of Service

Effective August 25, 2026

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Makeratory, a Starr Studios product owned and operated by Starr Studios LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and maintaining control of your account and workspace memberships. You may not use another person's account without authorization.

The service

Makeratory provides tools for managing 3D-printing operations, including printers and equipment, filament and supplies, products and bills of materials, production planning, Print Finder, inventory, sales, finance, Quick Capture, and related workflows. Features may change as the product develops.

Trial and subscriptions

Makeratory offers a 14-day full-feature trial with no card required to start. The standard launch subscription is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Subscription charges are processed by Stripe.

The first 100 paid workspaces may be eligible for founding pricing of $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year. Founding pricing is tied to the qualifying workspace and remains available only while that workspace remains continuously subscribed, subject to the product's implemented billing rules.

Renewal, cancellation, and access

Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing interval selected unless canceled. You can manage billing through the self-service billing tools provided in Makeratory. Cancellation, failed-payment recovery, expiration, reactivation, and access follow the product's current billing and entitlement behavior.

Quick Capture and private Quick Capture addresses

Makeratory may provide a private Quick Capture address that routes inbound notes to your account. Quick Capture notes can be created directly in Makeratory or delivered by email, including messages produced by a mobile carrier's text-to-email or MMS-to-email gateway.

Your private Quick Capture address functions as a secret routing identifier. You are responsible for keeping it private and regenerating it in Settings if you believe it has been exposed. You are also responsible for the content you send to Quick Capture and for any charges, restrictions, or terms imposed by your mobile carrier, email provider, or other service you use to send a message.

Text Quick Capture and SMS enrollment

Makeratory may offer transactional SMS features, including Text Quick Capture confirmations, requested reminders, account-related notifications, and responses to messages you send to Makeratory. Where SMS enrollment is offered, you may opt in through Makeratory's public SMS opt-in page or through an authenticated Makeratory flow that presents the same applicable consent disclosure.

SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Providing a mobile number without selecting the SMS consent checkbox does not enroll you in Makeratory SMS. If you affirmatively opt in, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile information collected for SMS enrollment will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Fair use and abuse

Makeratory is designed for ordinary hobby and small-business use. We may apply reasonable safeguards to unusually expensive, automated, abusive, or disruptive activity in order to protect service reliability and other customers. You may not attempt to bypass security controls, access another customer's data, interfere with the service, misuse private Quick Capture addresses, or use Makeratory for unlawful activity.

Your content and records

You remain responsible for the business, operational, product, inventory, financial, Quick Capture, and other records you enter, send, or upload. You represent that you have the right to provide that information. We use customer content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI and reference information

AI-assisted analysis, catalog data, inventory calculations, production estimates, Print Finder results, and similar outputs may contain errors or incomplete information. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them for purchasing, production, pricing, safety, tax, legal, or other business decisions.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Makeratory available and dependable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, provider changes, product development, or legal compliance.

Termination

You may stop using Makeratory and cancel a paid subscription through the available account tools. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security threats, unlawful use, or nonpayment, subject to the product's implemented recovery and billing behavior where applicable.

Disclaimers

Makeratory is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Starr Studios LLC does not warrant that every feature, calculation, estimate, third-party integration, catalog entry, or AI-generated result will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your particular use.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Starr Studios LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, production, or business opportunities arising from use of Makeratory. Any limitations that cannot legally be excluded remain subject to applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Makeratory changes. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
